Acting
“When an actor plays a scene exactly the way a director orders, it isn't acting. It's following instructions. Anyone with the physical qualifications can do that.” This is a famous quote from none other than one of the smoothest actors in the world, James Dean. He was such a great actor that he did not just act and get the job done but he actually lived in his role and that is true acting. There are many actors out there that look like they are being forced to do a certain scene and that is because they don’t understand the concept of natural acting.
James Dean says that acting is not when a person does what he is told or when he performs just another duty, because that is not significant and it does not truly show the skill of the actor nor the exposure of his role. An actor should live in that role to truly develop the same characteristics as the character he is playing. This way the actor gets to fully observe how his character is and when he performs, it’s not him that’s reading lines but it’s his actual character in the performance. And that is what touches people and inspires them; it brings out true appreciation for the actor because he made it turn to life.
In the second sentence of the quote James Dean says that anyone can do what he is told and just read lines. Anyone can do what they are told and can read lines and move a certain way but is that really acting? It is not because the actor is not anymore different than another person which can do the same thing and look the same way. Its determination and hard work which brings out natural acting and that’s what makes and actor different from another person who looks the same and can read lines but can’t add feel to his role.
People may say acting is easy or some may say it is hard but it really depends on the performer and how he changes that. If he is in the role than all he has to do is read the lines and the rest will show because he knows his character. But if he just reads his lines and does not know his character than he is not acting but just performing a duty.

Strength

Strength
“Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength” is a quote said by Arnold Schwarzenegger.  I personally like this quote very much because it is straightforward and is easy to understand. It means a lot to me also because there are times when we all want to quit or give up but this acts as inspiration and gives you the strength to make an extra effort and not give up.
The first part starts off by saying “strength does not come from winning” which means that just because you won does not mean that you are stronger or better than everybody else. Most people get the wrong message when they excel in something, they imply that they are the best and cannot be surpassed by people below them. But that is the worst way possible of thinking about such a situation, as anyone can achieve their goal and anyone can be better than you. So if you have won something do not stop working hard which I forget sometimes but I try to remember because there is always someone out their working harder than you to be better than you at what you are good at.
This brings me to the second part of the quote “Your struggles develop your strengths” which is the way I have learned a lot in life, especially in the gym. When a person struggles they work hard on their issue and try to overcome any obstacle which stands in their way. When a person overcomes that obstacle through struggle they are a much more conditioned and tough than a person who achieved the goal without struggle. How is that any better you ask? You don’t stand up forever, you eventually fall; if you’ve fallen before and gotten up you have the ability to make it happen again unlike the person that was stood up by an outside force. That strength that you develop can never be taken away from you just like knowledge.
Which brings me to the final and most important part of this quote “When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength” which simply means that not giving up is strength. And to not give up you must struggle and when you pass that struggle you don’t give up which is strength that you’ve gained, no matter if you won or not. So never be afraid to struggle and when life throws curved balls at you, remember not to give up and you will be the real winner; I have applied this quote to my day to day life and I humor you not it serves as a key to success.

Actors duty

Actors Duty

"To grasp the full significance of life is the actor's duty, to interpret it is his problem, and to express it his dedication” is a very famous quote from Marlon Brando, an extremely well talented actor and a great inspiration for some current top of the line actors. This quote personally means a lot to me because I dream of being an actor one day and it just happens to be that my one and only favorite is Marlon Brando.

In the beginning part of the quote Mr. Brando talks about how anything and everything that means to an actor is their duty and their job, which identifies them and is the reason why they are in the entertainment business. I agree with this also because if your heart is not in what you do then how will you accomplish your goal. Mr. Brando lived a life himself where he was very focused in all of the movies he starred in and that is why he was the best actor of his time and most likely no one to this day can do better than him.

In the second part he says to interpret the actor’s duty or his role is his problem; which basically means that whatever he receives to work with, it is his duty to perform his personal best and do justice with his role. A good actor has the ability to fit perfectly in his role and emotional bond with the audience to a point where they feel the same emotion that your character is supposed to feel in the story. It is a very obvious line but then again many people may overlook what the true meaning of it means. People might say of course it’s the actor’s job but when it comes down to the point they fail to stay true to what they thought.

And the final part which is the most important says that to interpret the role is the determination of the actor themselves. The main point of this is that an actor must be determined and willing to do whatever it takes; all the hard work and the stress to do their best and make the audience feel that the particular person is the best actor to portray the certain character. This is my favorite part of the quote because it shows how everything requires determination and nothing can be achieved without it.

The quote means a lot to me especially because of the way it was organized. It is set out in sequence like a timeline. So first one should understand then interpret and finally focus as you apply the results. For the right person this could be very inspirational, most likely to someone who dreams of being an actor, because this is like a guideline and if you follow it then success is guaranteed. There is no one in the world that cannot achieve what they want and work hard as heck to achieve it, everyone has to succeed and there is no way around it and this quote is a perfect example.
